"I enjoyed our session on Monday. I got a lot of new tips that I’m trying like cutting back on meats and replacing them with plant based foods. I’m looking forward to vacation and will try to keep your tips in mind (I’m bringing them with me). Thanks for the info on the forbidden rice and the recipe for the cabbage. I plan on doing a lot of walking since I’m feeling a lot better. I also noticed a difference in my ability to step back and take a breath at work. I still get the same amount of work done but I feel better and don’t go right to food. Thank you for helping me to a healthier life. I know it will take one step at a time but I feel I’m going in the right direction."

"Thanks, Lisa. It was a pleasure to meet you and be in your workshop. You certainly are a walking advertisement for what you espouse. I will definitely check out your website. It's particularly motivational to hear about your older clients. My dad was 98 and a living embodiment of lifelong lifestyle good choices in good nutrition and exercise. He was so ahead of his time. I'm writing an article about him. His mantra was " Rest is rust " . And " Eat a colorful plate". We never had a cold cut or white bread or rice In our house! My problem is that I too was never good at ball sports-- poor eye hand coordination for balls, and I was kind of a nerd. Love(d) reading and Swimming, skating and bike riding were my exercise. Though my bones are strong, I wouldn't do the latter two at my age, 75. Dancing is great though."

"Thank you for your thoughtful, balanced, relevant and informative presentation last night and for sending the follow-up e-mail. Wishing you continued success on helping our food choices evolve in concert with the environment, of which we are just one small slice."

"Thank you for these inspiring words. I had a much better day yesterday and I feel that I'm getting back on track. I was thinking about the lack of love I was talking about but I think it was more a lack of nurturing. I know that I am loved by my family and friends. Looking back and being one of 7 children there wasn't time for nurturing. Everyone, big and especially small needs nurturing/attention and I guess I was feeling a lack of that. I'll get over it. I realize that I don't need that to fulfill myself. My mom had so much love for everyone and I realize that now. The Breathe rock and the candle are very helpful, they're a great distraction and a way to redirect. I'm looking forward to cooking some of the recipes and I went on Facebook to look for more. Just want to say thanks for what you do, you have been very helpful and I appreciate it."

"Hi Lisa. Thanks for your very inspiring class. I learned so many healthy tips and ran to Stop and Shop for Kefir, Lara Bars, and Sprouted Grain muffins. I'm hoping to connect with what I eat and make sure it's healthier. Thanks for giving us HOPE."

"I hope you are enjoying this beautiful summer and that you and your family are doing great! I want to thank you again for your support during the time we worked together. I enjoyed getting to know you and spending time focusing on myself. Our work was an important step in my journey. Since we last spoke I completed the 8 week course in MBSR, bought 2 kayaks and get out on the water a few times per week, and joined the CSA farm at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. We continue to make manageable changes towards a healthier lifestyle."

"We had a guest speaker at our PTA Meeting tonight (Merrimac) and she was wonderful. Her name is Lisa Zimmerman , she is a personal trainer and health coach. She provided us with great tips on how to eat right and make home cooked meals when you are constantly on the go. Also how to choose better options when ordering take out and eating out. She even provided us with recipes. If you are looking for motivation or information on how to start a healthy lifestyle Lisa can definitely help. She is a Sachem mom and I wanted to share the great experience we had a Merrimac tonight. Thank you Lisa for the motivation."
